4	.Biodegradability of aqueous solution
		PVA water solution is degraded into water and carbon dioxide by certain bacteria such as the pseudomonas genus.
		According to JIS K6950, over 60% of biodegradation in 28 days is classified as biodegradable. PVA has sufficient biodegradation with the method.

5	. Effluent of PVA solution
		COD and BOD value increase by PVA effluent.
		For example 100 PPM of PVA solution has 80 PPM of COD value and less than 1 PPM of BOD value.
		PVA effluent is generally disposed by activated sludge method.
		Bubbling method and coagulating sedimentation method are used together depending upon the each mill.
		In ideal situation, 95% of PVA is biodegraded by activated sludge method for 24 hours.
