I had first arrived in Japan about 10 years ago.If I had returned to my home country, there world have been many opportunities in finding a career in China, however I wanted to contribute to society by immediately putting to use the knowledge I had gained. It was then that I decided to work in Japan. My reasons for wanting to join Kuraray would include that I felt a great appeal for their wide business expansion and great technological strength. I was also greatly impressed by their continuous push forward for developing new technology. Furthermore with their pursuit of global development, I felt that by joining Kuraray I would be able to work and bring to life the language skills that I had acquired. After I enter the company I want to do work that relates to the development of Kuraray's core products. Since the needs of society are always changing dramatically, there is a continuous need for the development of new products and technology. Thus as a project member I wish to be part of this effort. I think that there are many mutual misunderstandings between countries throughout the world. The relationship between China and Japan is a typical example. It is said however to Dream Big thus through my work my goal is to become a bridge, not just between China and Japan, but also between the many countries throughout the world. |

I had felt early on that Japan was extremely different from America in both culture and language. Believing that understanding these differences was my opportunity to grow, I became determined to study abroad in Japan. I already had a future desire to work abroad as well, however it was not until I was residing within Japan that I became extremely impressed by the spirit of the Japanese company. My desire to work within the country at that point became stronger. In particular I was impressed by Kuraray's strength in global development and their ability to mass manufacture such useful products as EVAL and CLARINO throughout the world. After I enter the company I want to apply what I studied in college about Operations Management, work to strengthen the company's global supply route, and focus on meeting the needs of the company's global clientele. Although I am not a native speaker of Japanese and there are still aspects of the language in which I still lack confidence, my career objective is ultimately to contribute to society by using what I have learned and to lead a healthy existence with a balance between work and family. Many of my friends in Japan also hold specific objectives in both work and private life, thus I will also do my best in learning how to experience life to its fullest. |
In 1986, we began local production of EVAL at a joint venture in the United States. Since then, we have expanded our local production and sales around the world, in order to respond to a growing global market.
Our network has now grown to 41 locations in 16 countries and regions outside Japan. We are leveraging our creative technologies to expand our businesses internationally, under a policy of producing in the optimal location and marketing in the optimal location. We have also built our own global sales network, and overseas sales now account for about half of our net sales.
