FAQ

Can "KURARAY POVAL FILM" be processed overseas?
There are several candidates for overseas processing sites, centered on China. We accept consultations, so please inquire with us about your wishes.
Why is "KURARAY POVAL FILM" suitable for the packaging of wool yarns and knits?
"KURARAY POVAL FILM" is highly oil-resistant and protects the packaging from the oils contained in natural wool yarns (alpaca, goat, sheep, etc.) Bags made of olefins have low oil-resistance. For this reason, the oil contained in wool yarn can degrade the package and impair its appearance. If "KURARAY POVAL FILM" is used, it will be possible to maintain the visual beauty of the product package.
What types of bag-making methods are possible with "KURARAY POVAL FILM"?
Many variations are possible, such as fused side seals, paste center seals, two-side seals, gusset bags, bags with hooks, specialized bags, etc.
We can also refer you to bag-making companies. Please feel free to consult us.
What is the slip property of "KURARAY POVAL FILM"?
"KURARAY POVAL FILM" is about four times less slippery than commonly-used polyethylene film, and about five times less slippery than coextruded films.
Because they are less prone to slipping and falling when stacked, the film makes displaying products easier, such as when carrying the products around or stacking them.
Are vinyl and VINYLON film the same thing? Why is it that it is environmentally friendly?
"KURARAY POVAL FILM" is a plastic film that uses polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as its raw material. Therefore, it is a completely different material than plastic bags (bags made of film that uses vinyl chloride as its raw materials). Furthermore, toxic substances (SOx) are not generated when it burns. A property of the PVA used as the raw materials is that it is decomposed by some microorganisms. It is therefore a film with extremely low effects on the environment.
The GreenPla mark can be displayed on the product. We look forward to your consideration of the use of KURARAY POVAL FILM.
  • Note:The GreenPla mark is a mark that can be displayed only on environmentally-friendly plastic products certified by the Japan BioPlastics Association.
