Notice Concerning the Passing Away of Corporate Auditor

Kuraray Co., Ltd.
Kuraray's corporate auditor, Hirotaka Ikuno, passed away at 7:50 p.m. on May 16, 2008 due to sickness. He was 66 years old. Kuraray expresses it deepest condolences on the loss of Mr. Ikuno.
Mr. Ikuno's private funeral was conducted today.
