Thermoplastic polyurethane
Because of its plasticity, abrasion resistance, and strength, thermoplastic polyurethane is used in electrical wire, special-use hoses and belts, and other applications where durability is required. Kuraray has recently developed a new block elastomer, TU polymer, by combining thermoplastic polyurethane with polyurethane and styrene elastomers, and is now developing this market.
