In April 2006, the Fibers and Textiles Company established the Automotive Application Fibers Promotion Group in the automotive field, which Kuraray has positioned as a new growth field, as an across-the-board strategic planning group.
Led by the Automotive Application Fibers Promotion Group, Kuraray will establish ties among the businesses operated by Group-affiliated companies that make fiber materials, man-made leather, hook and loop fasteners and nonwoven fabrics. Simultaneously, Kuraray will organically integrate its planning, development and sale of automotive parts, exercising its collective strengths to offer solutions to users, including automakers.
Paying utmost attention to the global environment, Kuraray will give special consideration to environmental improvement and the reduction of environmental burden for the purpose of further deepening its relations with the fast-expanding auto industry.
